The Occupational Information Network (O*NET) is an online database that match skill sets with hundreds of occupation. Here in the UK, we have adjusted this American model to fit UK parameters. This allows us to draw very accurate comparisons between the knowledge and abilities required for any job, which helps create career pathways for both learners and those already in the workforce.
There are 3 main ways of accessing O*Net data-
1. Search your chosen occupation in the search bar at the top of the page.
If it has been match with an O*Net occupation, it will appear on the left hand side. Once you select this option it will give you the between an table or more specific overview
2- Click on the ‘details’ tab at the top of an Occupation overview.
Analyst will provide you with more information about your chosen occupation and will suggest related O*Net occupations.
3- Open the report from the Occupations page.
This report will take you directly to our compatible occupations report which contains our O*Net data
